Renaissance School for Arts
and Sciences
2007-2008 Tuition and Fees
Tuition
Tuition at Renaissance School for Arts and Sciences for the 2006-2007
School year will be $24,000. The Board of Trustees sets annual tuition
in early February, at the same time the new budget is approved.
Families can expect yearly tuition increases based on the rate of
inflation and cost of living, usually in the range of 3-7% annually..
Payment Options
A student is considered as enrolled once we receive a signed enrollment contract
and a 10% tuition deposit.
The balance of tuition is due in two equal installments payable
on June 7th and December 3rd. Please contact the RHP Business Office
directly at 310-791-1101 x 105 for information on monthly payment
programs.
Tuition insurance is recommended to all families and may be required in some
cases.
Flexible tuition
It is our continuing goal that economic standing should not be a factor in
admission to Renaissance School for Arts and Sciences. We therefore encourage
families to apply for flexible tuition. Many families receive some form of
tuition adjustment. RSAS follows the guidelines for tuition adjustment set
forth by the National Association of Independent Schools. Tuition adjustments
are made on the basis of need as determined by the School and Student Service
for Financial Aid (SSS) in Princeton, New Jersey. In addition RSAS asks families
to fill out a more specific budget worksheet.
We recommend that families interested in flexible tuition apply for admission
and flexible tuition as early as possible. We do have a limited pool of money
available for tuition assistance. As the admission season passes, our ability
to offer flexible tuition decreases.
In order to apply for flexible tuition, you may call us and request a packet
of information and forms. You may also begin the process by linking to or downloading
forms directly.
There are two necessary forms:
- The Parents Financial Statement (PFS).
This form is a part of the School and Student Service for Financial
Aid (SSS). This organization works with the National Association
of Independent Schools (NAIS) to help member schools administer
their financial aid. This form can be obtained through RSAS directly
or can be started online at https://sss.ets.org/.
- The RSAS Monthly
Budget worksheet.
This form will come in our flexible tuition packet or can be downloaded
above. When completed, send this form directly to RSAS.
Flexible Tuition Award Process
The admission committee must accept the application for admission before the
flexible tuition award process takes place. The admission decision is treated
separately from the flexible tuition award process. This is in accordance
with the NAIS Principles of Good Practice (found at www.nais.org ).
Once the results of the PFS and the RSAS Monthly budget worksheet are submitted,
the file will be ready for the Flexible Tuition Committee. If possible the
admission decision and the enrollment contract containing the flexible tuition
award will be sent in the same packet. In most cases, the admission acceptance
letter is sent first and the enrollment contract follows under separate cover.
Please contact the admission staff if you have any questions about your flexible
tuition application status.
A non-profit organization, RSAS admits students
of any race, color, religious affiliation, national and ethnic origin
to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally
accorded or made available to students. We do not discriminate in
our admission policies, tuition assistance programs, or other school-administered
programs. |
